Going Home

Mommy and daddy were able to catch a few catnaps at the hospital. They were mistakenly under the impression that they would be able to sleep better once at home. Why is it that babies sleep better in the hospital than at home?

Baby Olivia is Jenn’s parent’s first grandbaby.

How many hands does it take to get a baby dressed?

FINALLY ready to leave the hospital.

Waiting patiently for the paperwork to be completed.

Olivia Lynn

SHE'S HERE, SHE'S HERE!  Finally after 9 long months, or should I say "almost" 9 long months.  She actually came 9 days early.  Pretty amazing for a first baby.  And here she is....drum roll.....

Poor papa Billy was totally exhausted by the end of the day.  You would have thought he delivered the baby.

While Mama Jenn smiled the whole day and never seemed tired, although we know she was exhausted.

Then there was Auntie Alicia who had a great time shopping for the baby princess and had a hard time leaving the hospital.

What a great day!  Hopefully Jenn and Billy will be able to catch some sleep tonight and be ready for whatever tomorrow brings.

Year 2010

Not sure about the start of 2010.  The only word to describe it is abnormally cold.  This is the view from our beach house looking up the canal.  Too bad I didn't bring my ice skates.

My last week at my daughter, Alicia's, continued to be frigid.  The morning I took this photo it was so cold that the Bay in front of her house was frozen all the way over to the island, but I could not refuse running outside to take this picture of such a gorgeous sunrise.

Next week, I'll be over at my son, Billy's, house helping with their newborn baby.

Christmas - Better Late Than Never....

Every Year, Chris’ aunt has all the kids over to make Christmas decorations. What a brave soul she is! This year there were 10 little ones!

They decorated Santa Claus goodie bags, pinecones, Christmas Trees ……

Even dad got into the act.

They sure had fun and what a mess they made. The decorations that didn’t get put on their ornament, were found all over the table and floor.

Since Alicia was not real mobile, she sat and played with baby Jacob, Chris’ nephew who lives in Florida.

And finally Christmas Day which we celebrated at Alicia’s. It was calm and quiet until all four boys arrived. Then, let the chaos begin.

Shane and Landon got electric scooters so we had to go outside for the big race.  ON YOUR MARK, SET GO!

The kids had more fun wrapping a present to us from Chris, Alicia and the boys.

Darla, our photographer friend, joined us for Christmas evening.

Everyone had a hand in getting dinner on the table.

Mom and dad got to relax with Darla while we cleaned up.

We topped the night off with Rock Band

And American Idol.
