The drive through the mountains on our way to the Homestead was beautiful. We also came across this waterfall.

The Humpback Bridge
Have you ever heard of a humpback bridge? Well I haven't, and I found this is the only one left in the entire world! It was constructed in 1835 and was used by the public until 1929.

The drive through the mountains on our way to the Homestead was beautiful. We also came across this waterfall.

Milton Hall
We arrived at Milton Hall, located in Covington, VA, to visit a fellow retiree. Floyd and Ed have purchased a lifetime project.

The property has several buildings as well as beautiful gardens and a salt water swimming pool. This is the cottage and Floyd's office, which is located over the three car garage.

This is what it looked like it the day. It was built in 1874.

Since we heard that there are ghosts at Milton Hall, Bill and I decided we wanted to sleep in the main house. (We are told friendly ghosts)
We were given a beautiful bedroom (Laura's room). It was very, very comfortable, but no ghosts....
