The Homestead

The Homestead was a beautifully designed and decorated resort. Many years ago it became a famous place for the rich to visit to natural hot springs to bath in the thermal water, thinking it would heal their ailments.

Complete with indoor swimming pool and bowling alley!

The Humpback Bridge

Have you ever heard of a humpback bridge? Well I haven't, and I found this is the only one left in the entire world! It was constructed in 1835 and was used by the public until 1929.











The drive through the mountains on our way to the Homestead was beautiful. We also came across this waterfall.
